Help for Portfolio Management
Few important points:
1. Portfolio ID is required. It must be unique.

You can group alerts by Portfolio ID.

For example you can create alerts for your e-mail notification

portfolio and for your numeric pager portfolio.

There is more information regarding alert management.
2. You can specify where the alert will be sent on the portfolio level.

For example, you can create the portfolio URGENT and

specify your e-mail and pager number on this portfolio.

You can create the portfolio MONITOR and specify e-mail only.

The alerts associated with the portfolio URGENT will generate both the

page and the e-mail. The alerts associated with the portfolio

MONITOR will send e-mail only.

Please note that if neither pager nor e-mail information is set

on the portfolio level -- the alerts will be sent to all e-mails

and pagers defined at user information level.

The pager/e-mail that you specify on Portfolio must match the

pager/e-mail that you specified at user information level.

For example, you can not specify e-mail: abc@world.com at the user level

and xyz@world.com at the portfolio level -- the system will not save

the e-mail: xyz@world.com
3. You can specify which information will be sent and what will be the

text (if any) before the information.

For example, if you specify that Last Price should be send and

text for the last price is set to L:-- the system will send you information

L:25.5000 when the stock was sold at $25.5 and the alert was generated.

If you specify the Text Separator -- it will be used to separate

information. This is very useful if you want to get the alert in

comma-delimited format for easy import into Excel spreadsheet or

some other software.

Please note that the "pipe line" symbol (|) can not be used as text

separator or as part of your other text setups. It will be

automatically converted to the exclamation pount (!).
4. You can specify whether a major market index should be sent along with

the alert information. Four indices are available at this point:

Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDU), S&P 500 (SPX), Nasdaq Composite (COMPX)

and 10-Year Treasury Note Index (TNX). You can set alerts for

market indices
separately as well.

Please note that this functionality is available only with the " intraday" alerts.

If you want these indices to be sent daily, you need to create separate

daily alerts.
5. You can specify whether the alerts should be sent based on before/after

market trading information. The system will set these flags to " Yes"

by default. If you will change these flags to " No" then the alerts

will be sent to you only based on regular market trading hours (9:30-16:00 EST).
6. You can customize the subject line of your e-mail and the length of each

line delivered to you via e-mail. The default line length is 30. You can

change it based on the device (pager, cell phone) screen layout to

achieve optimal results.
7. You can check the flag " Delete alert when done" if you want the

system to set the alert status to DELETE once the alert condition is met.

The system will keep these alerts for the number of days that you specified.

If you will specify 0 number of days the alert will be deleted immediately.

If you will leave the number of days blank the alert status will be set

to DELETE but the system will not delete the alert.
8. We strongly recommend testing your Portfolio setup using

immediate alert for a particular stock.
9. You can use Portfolio Wizard to quickly create portfolio based on

it's type: e-mail, alpha pager or digital pager.
